Teaching

Alongside a freelance singing career, William is able to maintain a few private students of all ages and experience levels, sharing the expertise he gained during a Fellowship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, a BA at Cambridge University and the Opera Course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He coaches the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and having taught young people aged between 10 and 18 in three of the UK's leading music departments at Highgate School, Whitgift School and Hutcheson's Grammar School, 100% of his private students have achieved an A grade at A-level, attained a merit or higher in ABRSM/Trinity exams and auditioned successfully for theatrical productions. His performing experience, from The Sixteen to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and range of academic expertise, from Lady Gaga's claims on postmodernism to Palestrina counterpoint, make him an excellent mentor to guide and inspire adults and children alike. Although in-person lessons are preferable, online tuition is deliverable over Zoom, Skype or FaceTime and you are welcome to get in contact to arrange a free consultation lesson.

“William was the music teacher at The School of Classical Russian Ballet for three years. He is an inspiring and hugely-knowledgeable tutor who has helped our students to do well in exams and develop their musical interests and talents. He is reliable, hard-working and knows how to get the best out of his students.”

Dr William Bynoe, Head of Academics at the London School of Classical Russian Ballet
